Converting Drive Current

The following drive current conversion only applies to the Kollmorgen CD and PicoDAD drives.

To convert the drive current from DAC counts to Amperes, follow the equation below.

Actual Current in Amps = Actual Feedback Current * DIPEAK * √2

Actual Feedback Current

The actual feedback current is measured in DAC counts.
Use the sqDriveMonitor utility to obtain the current feedback in DAC counts.

DIPEAK

DIPEAK defines the peak rated current of the drive (sinusoidal RMS). This is a hardware-defined read-only variable. DIPEAK sets the 100% reference for many other current variables.
