File Tabs

Multiple configuration files may be open at the same time. Each file is accessible by clicking on its tab.

Browser Window

This is a typical browser window that allows the user to select items in an expandable tree format. The properties of the selected item will be displayed in the Properties window on the right (see below).

Properties Window

The various properties of the item selected in the Browser are displayed in the Properties window.

Property Controls
These controls allow access to the values of the various properties for the item selected in the Browser window (see above). Click on a folder in the Browser window to see its properties in the Properties window.

Detached Properties Window
This action will create a detached property window that is separate from the Properties window. See Detached Properties Window for details.

File Tabs

Multiple configuration files may be open at once. Each file is accessible by clicking on its tab.

Status Bar

The Status Bar displays the path to the element selected in the Browser. The text in the Status Bar can be selected and copied into the clipboard. This can be useful when creating a filter file.

There are two formats that the path can be displayed in, selectable in View/Preferences/General/Status Bar:

  1. Object type of selected element
In this case, the type of each object in the path is displayed, as opposed to the instance.
    Example: Control.FilterList.Filter.MPIFilterConfig.gain.gain.coeff.coeff
  2. Instance name of selected element
In this case the instance name for each element in the path is displayed.
    Example: Control 0.FilterList.Filter 0.MPIFilterConfig.gain.gain 0.coeff.coeff 7

Output Window

There are three types of output window:

Normal output
Information and warnings. Normal output is displayed in a single tab.

Diff output
Results from comparing two configuration files. Diff output is displayed in one tab per diff operation.

Error output
Internal error output is also displayed in a single tab. This tab is only created when an internal exception occurs. Information that is useful for debugging purposes will be displayed.

Clear the output window
Click this button to clear all text from the output window. Save the output to a file.

Save the output
Click the save button to save the output to a text file (*.txt).

Close the output tab
Click this button to close the output window. The output window will be re-created the next time output is displayed.
