Motion Scope Toolbar Functions

File Menu Items

File menu items found in Motion Scope match those found in most Windows programs. They may be accessed either through the File pull-down menu, or (in the case of New, Open and Save), by clicking on icons located within the toolbar.

NOTE: Motion Scope files consist of Motion Scope settings, not traces. To save traces, use a print screen command (Print Scrn key) from within the Windows operating system to copy the screen's image to your computer clipboard. Once the screen is copied in this fashion, you may use a graphics program to edit and save the image.

New
Opens a new Motion Scope Pane. Motion Scope supports multiple panes for one or more controllers. Each pane requires a data recorder. By default, Motion Scope selects recorder number 0. If recorder number 0 is in use by another application, then Motion Scope will try the next recorder. If a recorder is not available, Motion Scope will prompt the user to allocate a new recorder:

# recorders Number of recorders allocated in the controller. The Recorders and number of records for each recorder are displayed for reference.

memory available Controller memory (in bytes) that is available for data recorder buffers or other objects.

records available Controller memory (in records) that is available for data recorder buffers or other objects.

new recorder # The data recorder number to be allocated for the new recorder. Range is from 0 to 63.

new # records The number of data recorder records to be allocated for the new recorder.
