Servo Configuration

Optimizing Controller Performance

All the axes on a SynqNet motion controller close servo loops at the same rate, which can be configured with the Controller.SampleRate property.

The Controller sample rate may be limited by the number of objects that must be processed. Reducing the number of active objects on a controller reduces the number of control loop computations that must be performed each servo loop period and allows the sample rate to be increased. The following properties determine the number of enabled objects on the controller:

Object numbers are zero-based; meaning that objects of index 0 through the number of objects (ObjectCount) minus one are available for use. Trying to use objects whose number is greater than or equal to ObjectCount will not work correctly.
