CAN Analog Values

The CANOpen protocol specifies that by default, analog data should be formatted as a 16-bit number, irrespective of the actual resolution of the analog device. The value will always be left adjusted and any remaining lower order bits shall be zero.

The analog interface functions: meiCanNodeAnalogIn, meiCanNodeAnalogOutSet and meiCanNodeAnalogOutGet all use a long to hold the analog values. This is a signed 16-bit number between 32767 and –32768.
