Firmware Introduction
The MPI and MPX software release packages contain the standard firmware (XMPxxxxx.bin and ZMPxxxxx.bin) for controllers. In addition to the standard firmware, there are alternative controller firmware images. These images are created to handle optional features, optimized performance, special developments, R&D, and customer-specific requirements.
The numbering scheme for optional/custom firmware is:
