Proper Shutdown and Reboot
Overview
When logged into the eZMP using Remote Desktop, the option to shut down the eZMP is not available from the Start Menu. Although desirable in most cases, ending or logging off from your remote desktop session does not shutdown or reboot the eZMP.
Shutting Down
In cases where the eZMP must be powered down or rebooted, a Shutdown icon (shown below) is available on eZMP desktop. Double-clicking on this icon will open the standard Windows Shutdown dialog box where you can shut down or reboot the system as needed.

Removing Power
When Windows has been shutdown on the eZMP, the output of the 7-segment display will read 8. It will now be safe to remove power from the system and eject the compact flash.
Caution Removing power from the eZMP or ejecting the compact flash while Windows is running can corrupt the compact flash memory. Always shut down Windows and be sure that the 7-segment display reads 8. before removing system power or ejecting the compact flash.
