SQIO Housing:
DIN Rail Panel Mounting Base

SQIO modules have been designed to be compatible with a standard Phoenix Contact DIN rail panel mounting base (raft). Although the width of the housing must be designed to hold a PCB whose width is 100mm (3.94in), the length of the housing can be customized accordingly, depending on the combination of connected board modules.

Note: X is the length of the extruded housing without end caps. For more information on determining the required length of the housing, see Calculating Total Length.

Calculating Total Length

The following calculation can be used to determine the total length(cm) of housing that can be used with an SQIO setup. In order to accomodate for the extra space that the end caps provide, 0.35cm should be subtracted from the total length.

Total Length(cm) =
SQID + m * (ADC4DAC4)
         + m * (ADC4DAC4)
         + m * (MIXEDMODULE1)
         + m

         – 0.35cm    For end caps
         – j * (0.6cm)    For joint connections

NOTE: For each joint connection, subtract 0.6cm (to compensate for mated connectors).

                                 where,  m = number of modules
                                             j = number of joint connections

                                             ADC4DAC4 (T021-0001) = 11.7cm
                                             DIN32DOUT32 (T020-0001) = 17.4cm
